TERminus is a real-time train departure board for the Luxembourg–Thionville corridor. It is built to do its job while collecting as little about you as possible. There are no accounts, no cookies, and no tracking.
The only data we process
When your browser requests a page, our server sees a single piece of personal data — the same one every web server necessarily sees:
That is it. We do not ask for, store, or derive anything else about you.
Why we use it
Your IP address is used strictly for the operation of the service:
- Technical operation. Routing your request and sending the departure board back to your device — a connection cannot work without it.
- Debugging. When something goes wrong, the IP address appears in our server logs alongside a per-request identifier, so we can trace and fix the specific failure.
- Security. Detecting and blocking abuse, such as automated scraping or denial-of-service attempts, to keep the board available for everyone.
What we do not do
- No cookies and no local storage of personal data.
- No user accounts, logins, or profiles.
- No analytics, advertising, or behavioural tracking.
- No selling, renting, or sharing of your data with anyone.
Retention
IP addresses live only in short-lived server access logs, kept just long enough to serve the technical, debugging, and security purposes above. Logs are retained for a maximum of 7 days and then automatically deleted. IP addresses are never moved into any long-term or analytical store.
Third parties
No third party receives any data from this site. Train data (SNCF, SIRI-Lite and CFL feeds) is fetched by our server, not by your browser, so those providers never see your IP address. Fonts and every other asset are served directly from this site — nothing, including web fonts, is loaded from an external provider — so your browser never connects anywhere but here.
